The probelm

Merchants currently lack direct visibility into their Pay to Card performance. They rely on Support or manual reports to understand payout issues, making troubleshooting slow and making it difficult to identify where and why payouts fail.

My role

I designed the Vault dashboard, connecting an overview of stored credentials with individual card details and editing.

The solution

A dedicated place to manage card payouts

We brought payout activity into the Dashboard, allowing merchants to:

  • Monitor: View payout transactions and their current status.

  • Find: Search and filter to locate specific payouts.

  • Investigate: Open transaction details to understand what happened.

The experience made payout information easier to access as part of merchants’ day-to-day operations.

Make payout activity easy to scan

I prioritised the information merchants needed most, including overall success, breakdown, and declined reasons, so they could quickly understand their payout activity and spot transactions that needed attention.

Outcome

70% merchant adoption

70% merchant adoption within 3 months of launch. Adopted by approximately 84 of 120 existing payout merchants, demonstrating strong early uptake of the new analytics experience.

Make payout statuses clear and consistent

I used clear status labels across the experience to help merchants distinguish between approval and failed payouts, and understand when further investigation was needed.

Keep the overview simple, with details one click away

I separated the experience into a transaction list for everyday monitoring and a details view for deeper investigation. This kept the main view focused while giving merchants access to more information when needed.
